Darren has over 30 years experience in the security industry, in both the public and private sector. Darren has overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the company, ensuring that all security staff are allocated to contracts that suit their particular competencies and experience. He is well-versed in customer procedures and all relevant licensing requirements.

Zak has 24 years experience of working within the live events industry, on some of the worlds most prestigious events including Beyonce’s Formation European tour, the Web Summit, World Future Energy Summit and many more. This, combined with a decade of hands-on security experience has given Zak deep insight into clients’ security needs and standards of operation.

Dewi Scourfield

Health & Safety

Officer

Our Health and Safety officer has over 10 years experience in the live events industry, and is involved in overseeing safety protocols for a number of events in Gloucestershire. Dewi’s expertise includes planning ensuring customers meet legal and licence requirements, risk assessment and auditing health and safety, as well as quality and environmental arrangements. He has a proactive approach to safety and a keen eye for detecting issues before they arise.

Dean Ackland

Safeguarding

Officer

Dean has extensive experience of working within an educational environment, working with vulnerable adults and children, as well as those with Special Educational Needs. Dean has been a key member of the Sterling Security team for over a decade, providing crucial safeguarding advice and assisting with the implementation of safeguarding policies for venues and events.

Lisa Walsh

Associate Operations Manager

With extensive operational experience of managing large scale night-clubs and pubs, Lisa brings exemplary organisational skills and compliance knowledge to managing the Sterling Security office, as well as overseeing the logistics, account management and facilities management.
